These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the COnnect applications, websites, and related services.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must:
- be at least 18 years old or the legal age in your jurisdiction;
- have authority to enter into these Terms;
- comply with applicable laws.
2. Services
COnnect provides communication and messaging productivity tools, including optional integrations with supported third-party messaging platforms.
COnnect is an independent platform and is not affiliated with third-party messaging platforms unless expressly stated otherwise.
3. User Accounts
Users are responsible for:
- maintaining account security;
- protecting credentials;
- activities occurring under their accounts.
Users must provide accurate information.
4. Acceptable Use
Users may not:
- violate laws or regulations;
- distribute malware or spam;
- engage in fraud or abuse;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- attempt unauthorized system access;
- misuse third-party integrations.
5. Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on third-party platforms and infrastructure.
We are not responsible for:
- third-party outages;
- policy changes;
- third-party content or actions.
6. Intellectual Property
All software, branding, designs, and materials remain the property of COnnect or its licensors.
Users may not:
- copy;
- reverse engineer;
- modify;
- redistribute Services without authorization.
7. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- Terms are violated;
- required by law;
- necessary for security or operational integrity.
8. Disclaimer
Services are provided “as is” and “as available”.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, COnnect shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia.
11. Malaysian Legal Compliance
Users agree to use the Services in compliance with applicable Malaysian laws and regulations, including laws relating to personal data protection, electronic communications, cybersecurity, intellectual property, consumer protection, and lawful use of online services.
Nothing in these Terms limits non-excludable rights or protections that users may have under applicable Malaysian law.
12. Electronic Communications and Records
Users agree that notices, confirmations, service messages, policy updates, and other communications may be provided electronically through the Services, email, website notices, or other reasonable electronic means.
Electronic records relating to account activity, consent, service usage, security events, and support requests may be maintained for operational, legal, security, and dispute-resolution purposes.
13. Device-Side Local Data Erasure
COnnect may include device-side data protection features that remove locally cached data and chat records from a user’s device after repeated PIN verification failures, where such feature is enabled or configured by the user.
Users understand that this feature is intended to protect local device-side copies. It may not delete data stored by third-party messaging services, cloud backups, other devices, message recipients, or external systems outside COnnect’s control.
14. Privacy and Personal Data
Our processing of personal data is described in the COnnect Privacy Policy. By using the Services, users acknowledge that personal data may be processed for account operation, authorized integrations, security, support, compliance, and service improvement purposes.
